ואתקף שלמה בר דוד על מלכותיה ומימרא דיי הוה בסעדיה ורביה לעלא:
lela wrbyh bsedyh hwh dyy wmymra mlkwthyh el dwd br shlmh wathqp
Solomon the son of David was firmly established in his kingdom, and Yahweh his God was with him, and made him exceedingly great.

ואמר שלמה לכל ישראל לרבני אלפין ומאותא ולדיניא ולכל רבא לכל ישראל רישי אבהתא:
abhtha ryshy yshral lkl rba wlkl wldynya wmawtha alpyn lrbny yshral lkl shlmh wamr
Solomon spoke to all Israel, to the captains of thousands and of hundreds, to the judges, and to every prince in all Israel, the heads of the fathers’ households.

ואזלו שלמה וכל קהלא עמיה לרמתא דגבעון ארום תמן הוה משכן זמנא דיי דעבד משה עבדא דיי במדברא:
bmdbra dyy ebda mshh debd dyy zmna mshkn hwh thmn arwm dgbewn lrmtha emyh qhla wkl shlmh wazlw
Then Solomon, and all the assembly with him, went to the high place that was at Gibeon; for God’s Tent of Meeting was there, which Yahweh’s servant Moses had made in the wilderness.

ברם ארונא דיי אסיק דוד מקרית יערים כד אתקין ליה דוד ארום פרש ליה משכנא בירושלם:
byrwshlm mshkna lyh prsh arwm dwd lyh athqyn kd yerym mqryth dwd asyq dyy arwna brm
But David had brought God’s ark up from Kiriath Jearim to the place that David had prepared for it; for he had pitched a tent for it at Jerusalem.

ומדבחא דנחשא דעבד בצלאל בר אורי בר חור שוי קדם משכנא דיי ותבעיה שלמה וקהלא:
wqhla shlmh wthbeyh dyy mshkna qdm shwy khwr br awry br btslal debd dnkhsha wmdbkha
Moreover the bronze altar that Bezalel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, had made was there before Yahweh’s tabernacle; and Solomon and the assembly were seeking counsel there.

ואסיק שלמה תמן על מדבחא דנחשא קדם יי די במשכן זמנא ואסיק עלויה עלון אלפא:
alpa elwn elwyh wasyq zmna bmshkn dy yy qdm dnkhsha mdbkha el thmn shlmh wasyq
Solomon went up there to the bronze altar before Yahweh, which was at the Tent of Meeting, and offered one thousand burnt offerings on it.

בליליא ההוא אתגלי יי לשלמה ואמר ליה תבעי מה אתן לך:
lk athn mh thbey lyh wamr lshlmh yy athgly hhwa blylya
That night, God appeared to Solomon and said to him, “Ask for what you want me to give you.”

ואמר שלמה קדם יי את עבדתא עם דוד אבא טבתא רבתא ואמלכתא יתי באתרוהי:
bathrwhy ythy wamlktha rbtha Tbtha aba dwd em ebdtha ath yy qdm shlmh wamr
Solomon said to God, “You have shown great loving kindness to David my father, and have made me king in his place.

כדון יי אלהים יהי מהימן פתגמך דמללתא עם דוד אבא ארום אנת אמלכתני על ישראל עם סגי הי כעפרא דארעא:
darea kepra hy sgy em yshral el amlkthny anth arwm aba dwd em dmlltha pthgmk mhymn yhy alhym yy kdwn
Now, Yahweh God, let your promise to David my father be established; for you have made me king over a people like the dust of the earth in multitude.

כדון חכמתא ומנדעא הב לי ואפוק קדם עמא הדין ואעול ארום מן יספיק למידן ית עמא רבא הדין:
hdyn rba ema yth lmydn yspyq mn arwm waewl hdyn ema qdm wapwq ly hb wmndea khkmtha kdwn
Now give me wisdom and knowledge, that I may go out and come in before this people; for who can judge this great people of yours?”

ואמר יי לשלמה חלף דהות דא מחשבתא עם לבבך ולא תבעתא עותר נכסין ויקרא וית נפשאת סנאך ואוף יומין סגיעין לא שילתא ושילתא לך חכמתא ומנדעא די תספיק למדן ית עמי דאמלכתך עלוהי:
elwhy damlkthk emy yth lmdn thspyq dy wmndea khkmtha lk wshyltha shyltha la sgyeyn ywmyn wawp snak npshath wyth wyqra nksyn ewthr thbetha wla lbbk em mkhshbtha da dhwth khlp lshlmh yy wamr
God said to Solomon, “Because this was in your heart, and you have not asked riches, wealth, honor, or the life of those who hate you, nor yet have you asked for long life; but have asked for wisdom and knowledge for yourself, that you may judge my people, over whom I have made you king,

חכמתא ומנדעא יהיבין לך ועתרא ונכסין ויקר אתן לך דלא הוה היכנא למלכיא די קדמך ומן בתרך לא יהי כן:
kn yhy la bthrk wmn qdmk dy lmlkya hykna hwh dla lk athn wyqr wnksyn wethra lk yhybyn wmndea khkmtha
therefore wisdom and knowledge is granted to you. I will give you riches, wealth, and honor, such as none of the kings have had who have been before you, and none after you will have.”

ואתא שלמה לרמתא דבגבעון ומתמן לירושלם לקדם משכן זמנא ומלך על ישראל:
yshral el wmlk zmna mshkn lqdm lyrwshlm wmthmn dbgbewn lrmtha shlmh watha
So Solomon came from the high place that was at Gibeon, from before the Tent of Meeting, to Jerusalem; and he reigned over Israel.

וכנש שלמה ארתכין ופרשין והוו ליה אלפא וארבע מאה ארתכין ותריסר אלפין פרשין ואשרינון בקרוי רתיכיא בר מן מה דהוו עם מלכא בירושלם:
byrwshlm mlka em dhww mh mn br rthykya bqrwy washrynwn prshyn alpyn wthrysr arthkyn mah warbe alpa lyh whww wprshyn arthkyn shlmh wknsh
Solomon gathered chariots and horsemen. He had one thousand four hundred chariots and twelve thousand horsemen that he placed in the chariot cities, and with the king at Jerusalem.

ויהב מלכא שלמה ית כספא וית דהבא מזלזלין בירושלם הי כאבניא וית ארזיא יהב הי כשקמיא די בשפלתא לסוגי:
lswgy bshpltha dy kshqmya hy yhb arzya wyth kabnya hy byrwshlm mzlzlyn dhba wyth kspa yth shlmh mlka wyhb
The king made silver and gold to be as common as stones in Jerusalem, and he made cedars to be as common as the sycamore trees that are in the lowland.

ומפקנות סוסיתא די לשלמה ממצרים ומזון דזבנין תגרי מלכא לית אפשר די יזבנון מזון אלהן מן מלכא בדמי:
bdmy mlka mn alhn mzwn yzbnwn dy apshr lyth mlka thgry dzbnyn wmzwn mmtsrym lshlmh dy swsytha wmpqnwth
The horses which Solomon had were brought out of Egypt and from Kue. The king’s merchants purchased them from Kue.

ומסקין ומפקין ממצרים רתיכא בשית מאה סלעין דכסף וסוסא במאה וחמשין והכדין לכלהון מלכי חתאי ומלכי ארם על ידיהון מפקין:
mpqyn ydyhwn el arm wmlky khthay mlky lklhwn whkdyn wkhmshyn bmah wswsa dksp sleyn mah bshyth rthyka mmtsrym wmpqyn wmsqyn
They imported from Egypt then exported a chariot for six hundred pieces of silver and a horse for one hundred fifty. They also exported them to the Hittite kings and the Syrian kings.
